Vehicle Rentals
As of Jan. 30, 2016, NMSU began providing vehicle rentals through a third party. This agreement allows for discounted rental costs and direct billing. The NMSU Transportation Dept. can help your department create an account allowing you direct access to the vehicle rental system. Please contact transport@nmsu.edu to begin.
NMSU Fuel Cards
University departments are advised to establish a Wright Express fuel credit card account by contacting Transportation & Parking Services at transport@nmsu.edu. This account can be used at most off-campus fueling stations.
We do not recommend the storage of flammable or combustible liquids for refueling of your small utility service vehicle or equipment. Only approved containers and portable tanks may be used to store flammable and combustible liquids. Maximum allowable sizes of various types of containers and portable tanks are specified based on the class of flammable and combustible liquid they contain. Suitable fire control devices, such as portable fire extinguishers, shall be available at locations where flammable or combustible liquids are stored.
Design, construction, and capacity of containers must meet approved OSHA and international fire codes. NMSU Transportation & Parking Services would like to thank the NMSU Fire Department for providing guidance on container storage.
